The Ferretti Yachts shipyard was established in 1968 by brothers Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti. Initially involved in the trade of luxury cars, they founded Ferretti Nautica to sell American boats, specifically Chris-Craft models and ventured into the promising yacht industry. At that time, the market was indeed flourishing, as many of the world's largest yacht brands were founded during the mid to late 1960s.
